CHTAEF awards scholarships to all accredited colleges and universities offering higher education in hospitality and tourism. We provide a list of affiliated institutions which provide matching grants that expand the level of funding for scholarships that we offer. Please see institution application click here for further information if you are an institution that wants to affiliate with CHTAEF or a student that wishes to have their chosen institution affiliate with CHTAEF.

The following institutions currently offer Matching Grants which increases the value of the scholarship you receive from CHTA Education Foundation.

Florida International University (FIU), Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management

Florida International University’s School of Hospitality & Tourism Management is the highest ranked hospitality and tourism program in the Southeast United States; the program is ranked sixth in the nation as reported by the latest study published in the journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education. The School offers Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Science in Travel and Tourism Management, Master of Science in Hospitality Management (available on campus and via distance learning), Master of Science in Tourism Studies and Executive Master of Science in Hospitality management (available on campus and via distance learning), Degree Programs, as well as Certificate Programs in various Hotel, Restaurant, Hospitality, Travel and Tourism specializations.

Johnson & Wales University

Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality Institute (TTHTI)

TTHTI, Trinidad Campus offers education and training in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management at the Associate Degree, Certificate and Vocational Levels. Programmes include Culinary Arts, Food and Beverage, Travel and Front Office Training. Other services include Catering, Placement and Consultancy.

University of St. Maarten (USM)

The University of St. Martin is committed to offering quality career and academic education that will provide students with a solid foundation to enter the field of their chosen career or to pursue further academic studies. University of Memphis, Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality & Resort Management

To support your future career in hospitality, CHTAEF and the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management at the University of Memphis have partnered to provide $10,000 annually to a student interested in the various facets of hospitality, from resort management to owning your own hospitality business. One scholarship will be made to a deserving student on a sustained basis throughout their 4-year collegiate career if academic standards are maintained and CHTAEF requirements met. The Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management, created and named for the founder of Holiday Inns, has positioned itself as a prominent program providing a contemporary hospitality education, with an emphasis on lodging and resort operations. Students learn what it takes to effectively run a successful hospitality business through a mix of class work, applied industry experiences and a required internship in lodging & hospitality operations. Management and leadership skills are delivered through course work focusing on asset management, lodging operations, facility development, human resources, resort management, food & beverage cost controls and revenue delivery. University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Nassau, Bahamas

This programme offers some similarity with the Tourism Management Programme in that students are required to pursue both internships and lean another language. At the end of their first year, the students are required to transfer to the Centre of Hotel and Tourism in Nassau, Bahamas where they will complete the second and final years of the programme. CHTAEF gives preference to courses that involve ‘face-time’ with tutors and other students above 100% distance learning internet courses
