Have you heard about CHTA’s newest committee? Our newly established Technology Task Force is focused on researching and educating members on Hospitality 5.0 tools focused on improving revenue and driving efficiencies.
With a specific emphasis on Micro-, Small-, and Medium-sized Tourism Entities (MSMTEs) and independent tourism organizations, the overarching responsibility of the CHTA Technology Task Force is to explore digital assets and tools, such as tokens and cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, big data, digital marketing, virtual reality and augmented reality.
The objective of the task force is to provide recommendations to CHTA members and share intelligence about technology’s evolution and application to the hospitality sector.
The task force is co-chaired by CHTA 2nd Vice President, Sanovnik Destang of Bay Gardens Resorts, and Jeremy Jones of Sandals Resorts, and includes members from diverse IT and marketing backgrounds.
The task force recently brokered a groundbreaking three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Hospitality Finance and Technology Professionals Association (HFTP). HFTP is recognized as the voice of the finance and technology segments of the hospitality industry with members and stakeholders spanning the globe.
