TAX STATUS

Contributors can take advantage of The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Foundation’s 501 (c-3) tax status.

The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Education Foundation, Inc., is governed by its own Board of Trustees and has received a U.S. Internal Revenue Service 501(c-3) tax ruling.

Corporate sponsor
For a donor who makes a contribution to the CHTAEF of $5,000 or more per year will have a scholarship named in honor of the donor. In addition, a donor, or designee of a donor contributing $25,000 or more, will be granted a seat on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation and receive recognition at CHAEF events.

Corporate Sponsors will also receive recognition throughout the Caribbean with a press release about the company and its commitment to the CHTA Education Foundation as well as a feature on the company in the CHTA Newsletter which is distributed to all members and on the CHTA website within the CHTA Education Foundation pages.

Corporate Patron
Donors who make a contribution of $1,000 up to $5,000 per year will be named a CHTAEF Patron and promoted as such in the CHTA Newsletter and in the CHTA website within the CHTA Education Foundation pages.

Friends of the Education Foundation
Every cent counts and all levels of contribution are welcome and appreciated; all donations that do not fall under the categories above are deposited in the general scholarship fund, with due recognition to the donors in press releases, in the newsletter and on the website.
