George Myers Special Tribute

CHTA, Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA), the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board and Sandals Resorts International offered a Special Tribute to tourism development icon and mentor, George Myers at Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa & Resort on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017.

George Myers has touched and shaped the lives of countless individuals throughout The Bahamas, the Caribbean and indeed the world.  He has walked with royalty and leaders of commerce and governments.  He has danced with musical legends and entertained the rich and famous.  He has counseled and guided the line employee, aspiring manager, entrepreneur, mogul and politician in their quest to succeed.  Indeed, he is larger than life itself. Mr. Myers became involved in the then Caribbean Hotel Association, when he assumed the position as President and Chief Operating Officer of Resorts International (Bahamas), and became the primary force behind the creation of Caribbean Travel Marketplace, which today remains the region’s premier tourism marketing event.
