For the second time CHTA brought together three of its most popular events to Miami, in a celebration of unity, excellence and diversity. The fourth annual Caribbean Hospitality Exchange Forum (CHIEF) once again brought together Caribbean hospitality and tourism industry to Miami on June 22-24, 2018, to face their common challenges and celebrate their triumphs and individuality. For three days, delegates attended sessions covering topics as varied as inclusion in the workforce, to crisis management and digital marketing strategies.
CHIEF attendees also were able to savor the creations of the Caribbean culinary teams attending and competing in Taste of the Caribbean, a CHTA food and beverage event taking place concurrently with CHIEF. CHIEF delegates purchased tickets to the Taste of the Caribbean’s lunch and dinner competitions, and enjoyed the award-winning dishes prepared by the 11 Caribbean culinary teams. Taste of the Caribbean, the region’s premier culinary competition, a food & beverage educational exchange and Caribbean cultural showcase took place on June 22-26, 2018. Taste provided a forum for food and beverage professionals to gather practical information, develop skills, sample and purchase, strengthen and establish supplier relationships and meeting new vendors. It also allowed culinary teams to participate in innovative and exciting educational sessions that promised to enhance each team member’s individual skills. Caribbean305, the biggest Caribbean party in Miami took place on June 23, 2018, where South Florida locals as well as CHIEF and Taste of the Caribbean participants celebrated the Caribbean’s beauty, culture and diversity.
